Our guest for this week's Throws Chat is none other than Luke Warning! Hailing from Pennsylvania, Warning is currently competing in the shot put and discus at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. Prior to his collegiate career, Warning was a 2x district qualifier in track and wrestling. He was also a recipient of the District 3 Sportsmanship Award and senior captain on both the track and football team at Kutztown Area High School.
Warning has seen much success during his time as a Mountain Hawk. In the past week he has joined the 60ft club with a throw of 18.72m. What makes this achievement especially outstanding is the fact that Warning uses the glide technique, which many believe is dead. Many credit Warning with one of the top 5 glide techniques in the Western Hemisphere. His performance backs that up.
In the past 3 seasons, Warning has qualified for the First Round of the NCAA Championships, won the Patriot League shot put championship, and broken the school’s 44 year old shot put record at the Angry Birds Invitational.
Join #ThrowsChat this Friday at 7pm EST and see what Warning's recommendations are for nutrition, meal planning, and supplements for throwers!
