The transition from high school to college can be difficult, especially for athletes. A new training schedule, increased workload, and higher expectations are awaiting graduating seniors as they prepare for their collegiate career. While there is no How-To guide on throwing in college, there are a plethora of athletes who have managed to find success in the throws while balancing school and personal life. This week, Rodhe Sport athlete Matt Marcoccia joins Throws Chat to share his experience and tips for succeeding as a collegiate thrower.

Matt was the OFSAA Discus Champion for Ontario High School in 2009, 2011 NJCAA Indoor National Champion in shot put and a 2x NJCAA All-American. In 2015 he was the GLIAC Outdoor Champion in shot put. Matt was a 2x NCAA DII All-American and a member of the 2015 Canadian team at the FISU World University Games.
